Frequently Asked Questions

What is AIOps?

AIOps, or Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations, is a technology that uses machine learning and big data to improve IT operations. It gathers data from multiple devices on a network and analyzes it in real time using machine learning models trained to identify specific problems and predict potential issues before they arise.

How does AIOps work?

AIOps works by ingesting large volumes of data from IT assets — such as logs, metrics and network traffic — and then applying machine learning algorithms to analyze that data in real time. AIOps systems recognize patterns, detect anomalies and correlate events across the infrastructure to identify problems and predict potential failures before they affect end users.

What is the IAOps tool?

IAOps is a complete automation platform that, through the use and implementation of AIOps technology, offers the following characteristics:

  • An integrated platform that simplifies operations;
  • Automatic problem detection and resolution;
  • Less dependence on multiple tools;
What are the main features of IAOps?

With automation as its main focus, IAOps provides key features such as:

  • Intelligent automation: proactive detection of incidents before they impact operations (integration);
  • Event correlation: real-time analysis to reduce false positives and duplicate alerts (noise reduction);
  • Unified dashboard: centralized monitoring with predictive insights and full visibility;
What are the benefits of using IAOps?

The IT department of any large company today faces complex management and operations challenges, given how much each company's service delivery depends on IT infrastructure to reach its customers, and given the growth and heterogeneity of that infrastructure's components, for example:

  • Explosion of monitoring tools: operations overloaded with multiple tools generating alerts, making centralized management difficult;
  • Dependence on proprietary vendors: proprietary solutions create exit barriers, making migrations and innovation harder;
  • Too many alerts and false positives: a high volume of irrelevant alerts increases the workload and distracts teams from critical incidents.
  • Reactive problem resolution: teams are stuck in a reactive operations model, where incidents are only resolved after significant impact.

IAOps provides an intelligent monitoring platform that consolidates multiple sources of information and alarms, delivering higher performance in identifying and resolving incidents, increasing the efficiency of monitoring and managing IT and network infrastructure, reducing problem resolution time and increasing service availability — and, as a result, the satisfaction of customers and end users.

How can a small service provider benefit from adopting IAOps?

A small service provider, or ISP, faces growing complexity due to its own network infrastructure and to operations and monitoring systems that keep getting larger, the result of diverse platforms and vendors, legacy systems and so on.

Below are just a few examples of problems that the IAOps platform can solve better for a small service provider, or ISP:

  • Lack of integrated visibility: the difficulty of unifying data from different systems prevents a clear view of the infrastructure, hurting the ability to anticipate problems;
  • High costs of manual intervention: the need for constant monitoring and manual problem resolution increases operating costs;
  • SLA compliance and penalties: significant penalties for failing to meet SLAs, caused by delays in detecting and resolving incidents.

With that, IAOps enables benefits such as:

  • Shorter problem resolution time;
  • Higher service availability;
  • Better end-customer satisfaction;
  • Lower subscriber loss (churn);
  • Lower operating costs;
What practical operational results can I achieve with the IAOps platform?

IAOps enables benefits such as:

  • Lower mean time to detect (MTTD): fast, real-time problem detection, reducing reaction time before impact;
  • Lower mean time to resolve (MTTR): automated fixes, allowing incidents to be resolved faster and improving SLAs;
  • Automation of repetitive processes: routine tasks are automated, freeing the team to focus on strategic activities.
  • Fewer false positives: intelligent alert filtering, reducing unnecessary alerts and focusing on critical problems.
Does IAOps support Zabbix?

Target IAOps offers ready-made crawlers for integration with Zabbix and other monitoring and observability systems.

What is the IAOps implementation process like?

IAOps implementation is divided into 4 main stages, customized to each customer's needs:

  • Integration;
  • Collection and Research;
  • Automation;
  • Results Generation;
What is an IAOps Crawler?

The Crawler is the solution component that lets IAOps interact with the other third-party systems and tools involved in operating the customer's network.

What kinds of tools and systems can be added to IAOps to improve network and IT operations?

A variety of monitoring, inventory and information-processing tools can be integrated through Crawlers to help increase the solution's efficiency: observability tools, fault management and ticketing, communication, IT service management (ITSM), CRM, inventory, etc.

Which tools are these?

Target IAOps offers a long list of ready-to-use crawlers for integration with a wide range of systems and platforms, such as Zabbix, Datadog, AppDynamics, IBM Netcool, Splunk, Grafana, GoogleChat, MS Teams, Slack, Discord, Pagerduty, GitHub, Voalle, Service.now and others.

What is the IAOps pricing model?

There is an initial setup fee covering the installation, configuration and activation of IAOps.

For integration with each of the customer's tools, the use of existing Crawlers and the development of new Crawlers should be considered, and their complexity may vary according to the type of integration.

A monthly subscription is calculated based on the number of monitored hosts. Hosts include network devices – routers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc. – and servers – application, database and log servers, for example.

Software development sprints can be contracted to customize or add features.
